Joan E. Winters has over 30 years of management, human resources and
legal experience. In 2003, Winters opened her law firm with a
focus on labor and employment law. In addition to providing
legal guidance to public and private employers, Winters serves as
the County
Attorney for
Chester
County.
She also enjoys sharing her knowledge as an adjunct professor at
Winthrop
University.
In 2008, Winters was named Human Resources Professional of the Year
by the local chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management.
Winters holds a bachelors degree in business management from
Rosemont
College and a law degree from the
University
of South Carolina.
Prior to opening her practice, Winters worked as a human resources
manager and consultant for more than 10 years. Her legal
experience includes positions as a legal research assistant, law
clerk and associate attorney in
Columbia, SC.
